Partners involved in creating the Mental Health Charter for Sport and Recreation have been marking its fifth anniversary.
The Charter is led by Mind, the Sport and Recreation Alliance and the Professional Players Federation. It provides advice and support on how sport and recreation organisations can adopt good mental health practice to make activities inclusive, positive and open to everyone.
Over the past five years, nearly 400 organisations have signed the Charter and made a commitment to improve mental health awareness within their sporting environments.
A selection of case studies from Charter signatories and key milestones from organisations across the sector have been created to mark the anniversary. These case studies and milestones highlight the significant progress the sport and physical activity sector has made over the past five years around mental health.
