Webinars share menopause and puberty research

Women in Sport, the gender equality sports charity, will be sharing insight from its research on older women, menopause and puberty in a series of webinars which begin on February 4.

The series will offer sports professionals, practitioners, academics and physical activity enthusiasts the opportunity to take a closer look at our work and hear from individuals that have successfully implemented it into their programmes.

Each webinar session will be delivered by a member of the Women in Sport team and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the work.

The first webinar on February 4 will focus on ‘Silver Linings – Engaging Women in Sport in Later Life’, a study which focused on the experiences of women aged between 55 and 75, their attitudes towards ageing, their motivations and interests, as well as perceived barriers. Tickets to the webinar are available here.

On February 25, the charity will host a webinar on girls and puberty. The session will take an in-depth look at its recent research on puberty. Get your tickets here.

The final webinar in the series will focus on 'Menopause, Me and Physical Activity', an innovative research study which explored active and inactive women aged between 45 and 60 and their relationship with sport and physical activity during menopause. This webinar will take place on March 25. Get your tickets here.
