UK Deaf Sport have teamed up with England Netball to grow the sport over the coming year.
The two bodies are also aiming to develop a deaf netball classification, and are appealing for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to attend a pilot programme in Sheffield on July 15.
A statement read: “At the pilot, we will be looking at a range of things to develop such as coaching, match play and the rules and regulations.
“We are looking for a range of ages and levels of deafness.”
If you are deaf or hard of hearing and want to be part of the pilot which will take place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, then email compevents@englandnetball.co.uk to register your interest. It is a free event to attend and the entry deadline is June 22.
If you are a teacher or have an expertise and would like to get involved in helping shape the sport, then you are also invited to make contact.
