The Wigan Warriors Community Foundation is Wigan Warriors official charity and uses the power of Sport and Rugby League to make a difference to people’s lives. We work across many areas in Wigan, Cumbria, The Midlands and London.
We deliver a wide range of programmes from Rugby League coaching session’s right through to programmes that improve health, wellbeing and improve the career prospects of young people and adults. We are proud to support Health, Education, Social Inclusion, Well Being and Equality of Opportunity at the heart of our objectives. We currently deliver programmes to over 10,000 people per year and it is essential that partners support the work of the foundation to ensure sustainability.

Our programmes include
Education courses
Our Performance and Education Academy provides an exciting opportunity for talented Rugby League players and students who are looking for a career in Sport. All programmes provide the perfect mix of qualifications combined with a performance training schedule, work experience and competitive games programme at one of the most famous Rugby League Clubs in the world. Consistent with the club ethos the Academy prides itself on cultivating a winning attitude and enabling students to achieve the highest levels possible.
Schools provision
We have a long history of providing high quality PE and School Sport Activities to Primary Schools across the UK. Our bespoke service has been established for over 10 years and we now deliver more than 100 sessions each month to primary, secondary and specialist schools across the UK.
Rugby camps
Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Camps are held during the school holidays and offer children Rugby League based courses and the chance to meet their favorite Warriors Players. The foundation has been delivering multi skills focused activity camps for over 5 years for children aged 4 to 16. Each year over 2000 children take part in healthy activity during the school holidays at camps across the UK that is delivered by our expert team of coaches that engage and educate children through sport.
Community projects
Wigan Warriors Community Foundation delivers a wide range of projects to meet community, educational and health needs. By using the famous Wigan Warriors ethos and links to the players we have delivered some truly outstanding projects for a wide range of groups.
Sport and fitness
Wigan Warriors Community Foundation offers range of group exercise classes, coaching activities and kid’s fitness programmes every week at our Central Park facility. All classes are fun, interactive and delivered the Wigan Way so we know you’ll be able to find a class that suits your needs. We also provide individualised programmes that cover Sport, Health, Fitness and Wellbeing.
