Gillingham FC Community Trust
Making a positive impact on the lives of local people

The Gillingham FC Community Trust (GFCCT) is a pioneering charity tackling major social issues in Medway and Kent.  With football at its heart, GFCCT makes a positive impact on the lives of local people through a wide range of sporting and education opportunities.

Our programmes include

Gills Soccer Schools - we run soccer schools every half-term across Medway and Kent, in Gillingham, Canterbury, Sheerness, Hawkinge and Tunbridge Wells.

Football Academy - an exciting post-16 opportunity for talented players who want to atudy while playing football.

Girls Academy - a programme for 16-19 year olds to learn towards a BTEC national diploma in sport and an FA level 1 coaching badge. In addition successful applicants will be competing in academy league football and be trained by FA qualified coaches.

Development Centres - the club currently has six centres throughout Kent with players being coached by UEFA qualified personnel. Goalkeepers are also welcome with players getting the opportunity to obtain a pathway into the club's advanced centres and the Gillingham Academy.

Street Soccer Sleepout - in partnership with Street Soccer, we held our first sleepout at the Medway Priestfield Stadium to encourage a coming together of the local business community to help raise money and awareness for sleeping outdoors for one night: raising sponsorship from their business contacts and friends.
