'Offload' mental wellbeing programme goes online

Rugby league’s successful 'Offload' mental wellbeing programme is to move online during lockdown.

Offload Online Live! fixtures will take place every Thursday evening for six weeks during November and December, and will be led by former players, who will share their own experiences of managing stressful situations and dealing with adversity.

The tips and advice are aimed at helping people with the skills and techniques needed to manage their own mental fitness from the comfort of their own homes.

Fixtures are being delivered in a presentation format, with discussion between the presenters, and anyone listening in is not expected to speak and can leave their video turned off if they wish. Offload Online Live! fixtures are free and available to adults (aged 16-plus).

Stars of the game, including Robbie Hunter-Paul, Johnny Lawless and Keith Senior, presented in the first session on Thursday.
