Get ready for the launch of the latest phase of ‘This Girl Can’.
Organisations working in Sport for Development and grassroots sport across the country are being encouraged to support a new update of Sport England’s award-winning campaign next Friday, October 26.
To find out more, they can join a webinar on Wednesday, October 24 at 11am, which will explain how new creative material and messages can be used to get more women active, and provide a sneak peek of the first film to be launched. To attend the webinar, sign up here.
Organisations can also sign up as a supporter of the campaign here to find brand guidelines and toolkits. This includes access to official This Girl Can photography and branding, so organisations can create their own promotional materials, including posters.
All promotional materials and activations should subsequently be emailed to thisgirlcan@sportengland.org to ensure they meet brand guidelines, with the best being shared on This Girl Can’s social media channels.
Sport England’s executive director of mass markets Dave Newton, speaking in Leisure Management magazine earlier this week, said that marketing agency FCB Inferno, who drive the campaign, would be focusing on the stories of real women, and in particular the 25% of the population who are sedentary.
He also hinted more consumer-facing campaigns, for example “for families and for men”, could follow from Sport England. “So long as campaigns are based on insight, and we do them following evaluation, it will be an essential part of how we need to act going forward,” he said.
