The Sport for Development Coalition and its official media partner ConnectSport have announced the monthly themes for November and December in their co-produced ‘Call for articles’ series.
They are as follows:
November 2018: Employability through sport
December 2018: Sport’s role in reducing crime
To kick off each month, ConnectSport will host an article from a prominent person or organisation within the UK’s Sport for Development sector, and invite other organisations to submit articles which fit that theme. These will be published throughout the month.
The idea is to showcase the work of organisations, provide thought leadership and share best practice across the sector.
The Coalition is a growing network of 60 UK-based organisations dedicated to using sport and physical activity to benefit society, ranging from charities to sports governing bodies, funders and networks. It is funded and supported by Comic Relief, Sport England and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
The ‘Call for articles’ series began with ‘Empowering women and girls’ as the theme for October 2018. Read some of October’s articles:

Crawley Old Girls: How ‘Old Girls’ sparked a football revolution
Women in Sport and Sported: Challenging gender stereotypes through sport
If you would like to submit articles for November or December, please send a short email summarising your article to hello@connectsport.co.uk. Articles should be no more than 500 words. Please note: ConnectSport reserves the right to refuse submissions.
