BRINGING PING PONG TO THE PEOPLE

Table Tennis England (the national governing body of the sport) believe that everyone should be able to lead active, happy and healthy lifestyles.

However, they know there are things that prevent people from doing that, and so have developed a range of projects that remove barriers and introduce table tennis into places people already spend time in their everyday lives:

  • Ping! – free to use tables placed in popular public areas of over 25 towns and cities all over England.  The tables pop up in surprising places such as squares, parks, residential areas and train stations.  www.pingengland.co.uk

  • Ping Pong Parlours – empty shop units within shopping centres are transformed into pop up playing arenas for people to meet, socialise and play for free.  40 Ping Pong Parlours have been established to date, giving hundreds of thousands of people access to play on a daily basis. www.pingpongparlours.net

  • Ping in the Community – subsidised table tennis packages for groups such as faith groups, village halls, residential care homes, youth centres, to embed table tennis within their communities www.pinginthecommunity.co.uk

  • Loop – subsidised table tennis packages for businesses to help their employees get active, healthy and happy by introducing table tennis into the work place. www.keepintheloop.co.uk
