Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust

Our role is to inspire people through sport and physical activity and to deliver real and lasting benefits in terms of education, health and wellbeing. We achieve this by working in schools, community clubs and communities across Hull and beyond.

Our programmes include:

Sky Try is all about helping more children enjoy Rugby League nationwide. It’s a ground breaking new partnership initiative between the RFL, Sky and the Rugby League Foundations, including the Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust.

The Robinettes are Hull Kingston Rovers’ official dance team who perform at each home fixture and take part in events around the city. The Robinettes are a group of dancers aged 16+ who audition to be part of the team and work hard each week to put together routines to entertain the crowds. All members of the Robinettes also attend classes at the Hull KR Dance Academy.

Learn with the Robins provides support in a relaxed environment to help you into work or training. Our dedicated staff can work with you on an individual basis and support you with searching for a job, composing a CV, cover letter, developing your interview techniques and confidence building. We hold workshops to develop your existing communication skills, team building and confidence building. Working in partnership with other organisations and employers we can help you to access volunteering work, training and employment opportunities.

The Hull KR Dance Academy was launched in March 2010 and has gone from strength to strength, resulting in the expansion of our developing dance programme. The Dance Academy focuses on developing key fundamental movement skills such as agility, balance, coordination, flexibility and core strength. We do this through fun, no pressure dance classes. Our classes aim to enhance performance skills and boost confidence whilst helping young people to stay fit and healthy. We work on different dance styles including Jazz, Pop, Street Dance, Commercial, Contemporary and we also have classes specialising in ballet and musical theatre.

Hull KR’s Girls Rugby team is going from strength to strength and new players are welcome to come down and see what all the fuss is about! Launched in 2016, the club’s Female Hubs were introduced in partnership with Active Humber and the University of Hull as a chance to involve more young girls in the sport of rugby league with the opportunity to train and play regularly as part of a structured competition with a pathway of progression.

Our Rugby Rascals sessions are for two to five-year-olds and teach toddlers and young children the basics of the game including core skills such as how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team.

The Boogie Bounce Xtreme programme is FAB, FUN, FUNKY AND FAT BURNING. It is a complete exercise programme on a mini trampoline, with a safety bar, choreographed to chart topping inspiring music which includes an extremely effective cardio section and a really powerful bums, tums and thighs section too! Every muscle in the body is worked. Even the facial muscles!
