Contemporary Caribbean Dance Theatre

Carl Campbell Dance Company 7 is a contemporary Caribbean Dance Theatre Company with a deep commitment to the educational development and appreciation of African Caribbean dance and culture as a performing art relevant to the 21 century. The Company's Recycled Teenagers Music and Dance Theatre programme was formed to give the Over 55s the opportunity to experience dance from a creative perspective, improve health, wellbeing, social interaction and the shear enjoyment of working together.

CCDC7 also introduces people to dance,in schools and colleges throughout London and the UK. CCDC7’s residencies include:

- 'Moving on' designed to support young people in the transition from primary education to secondary school

- Intergenerational workshops with members of the Recycled Teenagers and St James the Great Primary School. Denis O’Regan, Deputy Head said "The pupils have worked with CCDC7 for two years now, and the effect of the work has been very positive in developing their skills and abilities. The joint project with the Recycled Teenagers had a stimulating and profound effect on the pupils by helping bridge the gap between young and old, a wonderful experience."

- A new partnership with the National Maritime Museum, Lucas Vale Primary School and CCDC7, leading to ‘Freedom’, focusing on the impact and history of slavery and performed in the Museum as part of Black History Month.
