British Fencing
Making fencing accessible to all

British Fencing is the National Governing Body for fencing. Our work covers all levels of the sport from grassroots to elite level.

We are committed to attracting and retaining new participants through our work which includes Sport England funded participation projects and externally funded partnership projects such as Muslim Girls Fence.

We work with a range of community partners to provide opportunities for young people to get involved with fencing. From upskilling youth workers, community leaders and coaches, to provide young people with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, we work hand in hand with our partners to ensure the offer meets the needs of the young people they work with.

We work with schools, colleges and universities to help develop fencing programmes at institutions. Ranging from one-off events and short courses to developing fully fledged clubs. We work directly with the institution to understand their specific situation and provide the fencing opportunity that fits them and their students.
