Active Communities Network
Tackle Poverty. Create Opportunities. Inspire Change.

Active Communities Network was established from a belief in the potential of young people, a belief that sport is not just an 'engagement tool' or 'diversion from crime' but a pathway for personal development, and a belief that the coach as a youth worker can be the catalyst for personal and community change.

There are several pillars to our work which enable us to deliver our vision, 'A world where everyone has the same opportunity to succeed, regardless of backgrounds'. These are:

   i) To deliver high quality grassroots sports and youth work projects.

ii) To provide a workforce development and training function to improve the skills of the sector.

iii) To improve evidence and recognition of sport as a strong method to impact on communities.

The charity is continuing to grow in stature and we now deliver projects across all regions of the UK, in the Republic of Ireland and South Africa as well as supporting local partners across five continents.
